He was one of 15 journalists selected for the Institute for Justice and Journalism’s immigration reporting fellowship. Based in Washington, D.C., he was previously awarded the NPR Kroc Fellowship, during which he reported for NPR’s National Desk and Seattle public radio station KUOW.
